Stafylo beach
On the east side of the south coast, just 4 km from the Chora (capital of the island), is Stafylos, a narrow mixed sandy and pebble beach chosen by many tourists and residents because it combines the beauty of the natural scenery with the ease of arriving. It took its name from the ancient hero Stafylos, whose sword was found in the cave of the small peninsula between Velanio (Nudist Beach) and Stafylos.
Although it is almost always crowded, you can not give up a dip in its crystal clear waters. However, if the idea of swimming in the midst of a crowd just does not attract you move to Velanio: divided by Stafylos by a rocky promontory, it seems a whole other world. It is the only beach in Skopelos where it is officially possible to do nudism.
