Skopelos City

The town of Skopelos, also known as Chora, has the same name as the island and is located between the sea and the mountains in a beautiful landscape. You can explore the port of Skopelos where fishing boats and ferries dock. Then you can walk through the beautiful streets of the city. A little bit of history

The city is a maze of narrow streets where you can find typical restaurants. If you appreciate ceramics and local product – as wine, honey and olive oil – you will find very nice stalls and small typical shops full of articles. SKOPELOS CITY

You can visit the white church Panagista tou Pirgou which offers a splendid panorama of the capital of the island. Small typical church, white and blue, clinging to the sea: from here the view of the city of Skopelos, the port and the coast on both sides is really exciting.

The colors of the sky and the light that caresses the houses are truly a masterpiece. One of the most interesting excursions is Kastro Castle where the view will take your breath away. For those who like to walk and breathe history, a visit is recommended. The beautiful Kastro Castle is among the historical symbols of the island.
